Summer Events in Sanford around July 4th!

SATURDAY, JULY 1stCONCERT IN THE PARK (GOODALL PARK), Roberts St., Sanford
Sanford’s own, BOYZ GONE WILD and BON FIRE, one of the best ACDC tribute bands around! Doors open at 5:30pm and food and adult beverages will be available! This is a family event. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15.00 at the gate. Advanced tickets are available at the Sanford City Hall, 919 Main St., in the Sanford Park and Recreation Office.

SUNDAY, JULY 2ND – GOODALL PARK, Roberts St., Sanford
We are proud to host the Blue Note Big Band to play music of the Jazz Era and more. Blue Note Big Band is from Southern New Hampshire Seacoast and has a local connection in that some of the band members are from the Sanford area. And again, food and adult beverages will be available…hot dogs, hamburgers, sausage sandwiches, French fries, fried dough, cotton candy, just to name some! Tickets are $5.00 and available at the Parks and Recreation Office or at the door the evening of the event.

MONDAY, JULY 3RD – #1 Pond Area
Vendors, music and other activities including a rock wall will be happening on the afternoon of July 3rd in the area around #1 Pond. The MAINE ATTRACTION WATER SKI SHOW will take place on the pond at 6:30 pm and FIREWORKS are at 9 pm. Each year our fireworks get better and better! Come see for yourself!

TUESDAY, JULY 4TH – ANNUAL 4TH OF JULY PARADE
The theme this year is “Service Above Self”! Our parade starts on Main Street around Malcolm Avenue at 10 a.m. and continues on Main Street to Gowen Park.
Thank you to the organizations who take the time to decorate floats and participate in the parade. Thank you to the political and military organizations and the Shriners and the churches, the scouts….to all of you too numerous to mention! Thank you to all of the volunteers who help with the parade line up and to Curtis Lake Church who assists every year with the clean up! Thank you all who come out to watch and enjoy this holiday! Thank you all in this wonderful community…our home town!
