Sanford Backpack Program 2016 Chocolate Benefit !
This Chocolate Extravaganza rivals any dessert event you’ve experienced in New England! You can expect desserts like classic Maine Whoopie Pies and chocolate dipped candied treats to more exotic candies or chocolate covered foods. Some items are all chocolate while others have just a hint of it. Attendees get to vote on Chocolatiers that have the best presentation, best overall tasting chocolate, and the most creative use of chocolate… and with this being the third annual Chocolate Benefit – competition is fierce! We expect that our returning and new Chocolatiers will be pulling out all the stops this year to try to win one of our prestigious event awards.
Above & Beyond Catering provides a cash bar which of course includes a special chocolate drink for the night.
If decadent chocolate isn’t enough for you – we will also have live music, fun raffles, silent and live auctions, and a wine raffle!
Last year’s popular raffle items included: A “Doggie Treat Basket” inside a dog bed with flea and tick medicine, biscuits, a collar and fun dog toys, A “Winter Day Basket” filled with cozy blankets, movies, treats and slippers, and a “Movie basket” with a DVD player, movies and popcorn! Our Silent auction included sterling silver jewelry, Ogunquit Playhouse tickets, and one of a kind artwork. Our wine raffle gave every participant a bottle of wine while the grand winner got a bottle of Dom Perignon. We are hard at working making sure that this year is even better than last year and already have DISNEY TICKETS and a WEEK GETAWAY on this year’s live auction list.
