- Nasson Bike Center is looking for volunteers! The Nasson Bike Center is a resource for local youth looking for a bike, fix a bike, needing some community service time, or wanting to learn some mechanical and problem solving skills. We are looking for volunteers to mentor our kids as they rebuild bikes making them safe and reliable. We are open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons from 2 to 5:00 year round. There is no requirement that the volunteer participate a certain number of hours. It is helpful that they participate on a regular schedule. Read more.

York County Shelter Program is hosting Asset Mapping
The Maine Alliance for Addiction Recovery (MAAR) is developing a “Recovery Community Asset Mapping Toolkit” to educate peer providers and strengthen system linkages and recovery support service referrals to treatment facilities. Toolkit informational materials will promote best-practices for gender sensitive, culturally appropriate, trauma informed care, and will align with the existing inclusive infrastructure within our state.
The Recovery Community Asset Mapping Toolkit will be made available through multiple avenues including social media and accessible web-based channels that are deemed appropriate. This is an exciting project for MAAR and will be a useful source of information for many in our state!
