The mission of Sanford Strong Coalition is to provide for the exchange of information and the leveraging of resources in an effort to identify community needs and create environmental solutions that reduce youth substance use and abuse and strengthens the health, well-being, and success of Sanford’s children, youth and their families.

Sanford Strong Coalition is a partnership of residents, organizations, businesses and others invested in the future of Greater Sanford.  The Coalition provides ways for the community to share information and access resources, while supporting initiatives to strengthen the health, well-being, and success of Sanford’s children, youth and their families. The Coalition is a governed by a steering committeestaffed by Strategies for a Stronger Sanford, and supported by its members. Membership is free and open to anyone concerned about the future of Greater Sanford and its people. Join today.

The Coalition meets on the first Tuesday of every month at the Strategies for a Stronger Sanford Community Building, 127 Emery St., Sanford, ME.

Join a Coalition Task Group

The Coalition maintains issue specific task groups to support its vision of  a strong, sustainable Sanford where all youth and families have the conditions and opportunities to thrive and succeed. To support this vision, the following task groups have been formed:
