The Nasson Bike Center is a resource for local youth looking for a bike, fix a bike, needing some community service time, or wanting to learn some mechanical and problem solving skills. This is Us Project at Sanford High School
In a recent survey, only 49% of Sanford youth (ages 12-18) said they felt like they mattered to people in our community. Tangentially, 20% of Sanford youth (ages 12-18) expressed suicidal ideation in the last thirty days.
Together, with the Sanford High School Peer Helpers and Strategies for a Stronger Sanford, we can change that.
Join us on Friday, May 18th at Sanford High School to give our kids a warm welcome and to let them know that they do matter. We will line the walkway to Sanford High School before students arrive; feel free to make posters and / or bring balloons or bubbles– though your presence is what matters most!
Please arrive at Sanford High School by 7:10am. The event will take no more than 50 minutes of your time and will resonate with students for years to come.
To participate, please email email@example.com
