  • Nasson Bike Center is looking for volunteers! The Nasson Bike Center is a resource for local youth looking for a bike, fix a bike, needing some community service time, or wanting to learn some mechanical and problem solving skills. We are looking for volunteers to mentor our kids as they rebuild bikes making them safe and reliable. We are open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons from 2 to 5:00 year round. There is no requirement that the volunteer participate a certain number of hours. It is helpful that they participate on a regular schedule. Read more.

SIXTH Annual Chocolate Benefit! @ Nasson Community Center
Feb 2 @ 6:00 pm – 9:30 pm

Chocolate Benefit 2018A Chocolate Tasting Spectacular to benefit
the Sanford Backpack Program!

Your ticket will get YOU a decadent bite-sized treat from over a dozen Chocolatiers while you enjoy live music, a cash bar, raffles, silent and live auctions, fun games and more! Your ticket will fill almost five backpacks with food so that Sanford children have access to food over the weekend when they can’t rely on free and reduced school meals.

This Chocolate Extravaganza rivals any dessert event you’ve experienced in New England! You can expect desserts like classic Maine Whoopie Pies and chocolate dipped candied treats to more exotic candies or chocolate-covered foods. Some items are all chocolate while others have just a hint of it. Attendees get to vote on Chocolatiers that have the best presentation, best overall tasting chocolate, and the most creative use of chocolate… and with this being the SIXTH Annual Chocolate Benefit - competition is fierce! We expect that our returning and new Chocolatiers will be pulling out all the stops this year to try to win one of our prestigious event awards.

If decadent chocolate isn’t enough for you – we will also have live music by Wintery Mix, an acoustic band, again this year!

Thank you for joining us at this event and helping us fight youth hunger!

Where:  Nasson Community Center; 457 Main St. Springvale, ME
