  • Nasson Bike Center is looking for volunteers! The Nasson Bike Center is a resource for local youth looking for a bike, fix a bike, needing some community service time, or wanting to learn some mechanical and problem solving skills. We are looking for volunteers to mentor our kids as they rebuild bikes making them safe and reliable. We are open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons from 2 to 5:00 year round. There is no requirement that the volunteer participate a certain number of hours. It is helpful that they participate on a regular schedule. Read more.

Pathway to Success (1)

Please join us for the June 2nd Sanford Strong Coalition meeting for a mentor training by the Goodwill GoodGuides program staff.

Goodwill GoodGuides is a national mentoring program for youth between the ages of 12 and 17 who want to learn about careers and prepare for success. The goal of GoodGuides is to equip youth to build career plans and learn skills to prepare for school completion, postsecondary training and productive careers.

If you think you might want to be a mentor paired with a Sanford youth, please join us for this training. As a mentor, you will volunteer with a young person four hours a month for up to a year. Mentors and mentees will be supported throughout the year by Goodwill GoodGuides. Let’s fill Sanford Strong Coalition with active mentors and mentees!
